The Uganda Birding Photography Tour is a meticulously crafted itinerary designed for wildlife lovers, birding enthusiasts, and photographers. Over the course of 14 days, you’ll be immersed in the stunning landscapes of Uganda, photographing its unique bird species, primates, and other wild animals.

One of the tour’s highlights is the rare opportunity to photograph the Rothschild’s Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis rothschildi). The Rothschild’s Giraffe is a subspecies of the giraffe, native to Uganda and Kenya. With only a few hundred individuals left in the wild, this giraffe is a true rarity that is found primarily in protected wildlife reserves.

As you venture out into the savannahs and national parks of Uganda, keep your eyes peeled for the unmistakable pattern markings of the Rothschild’s Giraffe, which sets them apart from other species of giraffes. With their long legs, towering necks, and distinctive coats, Rothschild’s Giraffes are a sight to behold and an unforgettable animal to encounter.

Did you know that Rothschild’s Giraffe is the world’s tallest mammal and can reach heights of up to 18 feet? They’re some of the most graceful and unique creatures in the world, at home in both the dense forests and the vast savannas that make up Uganda’s varied landscapes.

In addition to encountering the Rothschild’s Giraffe, you’ll have the chance to photograph some of the most iconic bird species in Africa, including the rare Shoebill, Pel’s Fishing Owl, and the beautiful Purple-breasted Sunbird.

Uganda is home to over 1,000 species of birds, making it one of the world’s leading birding destinations. From the colorful Great Blue Turacos to the stately Martial Eagles and the iconic African Grey Parrots, the tour will take you on an unforgettable bird-watching journey through some of the continent’s most beautiful habitats.

The tour will also feature other unforgettable activities, such as a gorilla trekking excursion in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and a visit to the Mabamba Swamp for the chance to see the elusive Shoebill.
